All Star Incentive Marketing Supports U.S. Marine Corps Boxing Event at Foxwood

Sturbridge, MA – All Star Incentive Marketing was proud to support the 2006 “Let Freedom Ring” U.S. Marine Corps/New England All Stars amateur boxing show held at the Fox Theater at Foxwoods Resort Casino on November 9. This year marked the third year that All Star has supported this patriotic Veterans Day-themed event, which pits amateur boxers from the U.S. Marine Corps Boxing Team against civilians representing the New England All Stars. According to Al Valenti, event coordinator of the USMC Boxing Team Great Northeast Tour, he is always in search of sponsors to assist with this prestigious program. “The commitment for the past three years from All Star is a good example of a company whose commitment to our men and women in uniform is unsurpassed. I am grateful to All Star Incentive Marketing for their continued support of this Veteran's Day event.”

The volunteer-driven event, organized by U.S. Amateur Boxing/Connecticut, offered a special opportunity to honor the men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces while also celebrating the Marines 231st birthday. At this year’s event, special recognition was given to Marine Lance Cpl. Douglas Graveline, who recently received a Purple Heart for actions while serving in Iraq. The spirited evening also included tribute to veterans and current troops as well as performances of patriotic songs.

“We are pleased to lend our support to this patriotic event alongside Foxwoods Resort Casino, and to honor the dedicated men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who are now serving our country overseas,” said Gary Galonek, National Sales Manager for Gaming, who attended the event on behalf of All Star.

U.S. Amateur Boxing is a volunteer organization governed by the US Olympic Committee in which coaches and officials train, coach, and support Connecticut's youth. There are 23 boxing clubs affiliated with the group within the state.
