Employees Recognize All Star Incentive Marketing as a Great Place to Work
Incentive firm walks the talk when it comes to motivation
Sturbridge, MA – Employees of All Star Incentive Marketing turned the tables on company owners and management this week by recognizing the incentive company as a great place to work. The recognition came during a surprise presentation to company owners.
In December, All Star’s management traditionally recognizes its employees for their performance during the year. Beginning Monday, December 18th, and continuing until the end of the year, All Star took time out each morning to feature its employees’ efforts, one department at a time.
This year, on December 21, employees honored the company and its owners for consistently creating a workplace where they feel professionally encouraged and personally appreciated. The presentation included a crystal shooting star and accompanying plaque, as well as a framed illustration of the company’s Sturbridge headquarters. Personalized messages from each employee adorned the illustration – “After 18 years you know how much I appreciate all that you do”. “I always feel a sense of pride when I say that I work for the Galonek family”. “You are wonderful people – thank you for everything”. “All Star is a wonderful place to work I am hoping to retire here.”
The entire Galonek family was surprised and overwhelmed by the employees’ tribute. As a company that creates programs to help clients recognize and reward employee efforts, being recognized by All Star’s own employees was extremely heartening. According to company president Brian Galonek “The power of recognition is alive and well.”
Employees say All Star encourages professional achievement and team effort while also recognizing star performers for their unique contributions. Education and training opportunities are made accessible to those who are interested, and the company-wide peer-to-peer incentive program empowers employees to recognize coworkers for contributions such as putting forth extra effort, helping out with workload, suggesting and implementing cost-saving ideas, mentoring others, and more. Perks such as complimentary office massages, free lunches and beverage service, and discounts on merchandise increase the sense of appreciation and morale, say employees.
Founded by Edward Galonek, Sr. in 1967 in the basement of his Southbridge home, All Star has grown into a premier incentive company that today involves the entire Galonek family, from Ed and his wife Ann to their three sons, Brian, Gary and Edward Jr. The company currently employs 35 people, and boasts many dedicated, long-term employees – approximately 30% of which have been with the company for more than 10 years.
