All Star Honored With Gold Key Award.
Sturbridge, MA – All Star Incentive Marketing announced today it has been awarded a prestigious Gold Key Award, for its "Duracell NCAA Final Four Free Basketball Offer."
"We are pleased to be singled out by our peers for the effectiveness of this program," said Ed Galonek Jr., Senior Account Manager for All Star. "But the true judge, of course, was the program's success for our client."
The promotion required the consumer to send in three Duracell battery pack UPC labels as proof of purchase to receive a free commemorative 1998 NCAA Final Four Basketball. During the promotion, Duracell battery sales for the first quarter increased 50% compared to the previous year. Wal-Mart experienced a 400% increase in Duracell battery sales during the promotion. Nearly 40,000 commemorative basketballs were redeemed throughout the program. The store compliance rate also increased to 94% compared to a normal 60% for Duracell promotions.
All Star adds this Gold Key to a long list of Incentive Marketing awards. In 1998, All Star won a Gold Key Award for a consumer offer that used "Project KidCare" to reinforce New England Ford Dealers' "Family Days" promotion and sales event. In 1997, All Star won an AIM Incentive Showcase Award for their participation in an employee incentive program to launch Dunkin' Donuts' bagels. In 1995, All Star was awarded the Gold Key for their consumer offer, "Tune-up and Tune-In Platinum Sweepstakes," which gave consumers a custom RCA Autolite '80s "Platinum" Hits cassette and a chance to enter a sweepstakes featuring Panasonic "Platinum" Line products with purchase of Autolite Platinum spark plugs.
