In the ever-changing e-gambling industry, Zynga could be positioned to make the most noise. With over 63 million daily active users of the online game “FarmVille” alone, Zynga could make a huge splash quickly if they decide to jump into gaming.

There is a growing trend with casino’s relying more on “Free Play” slot promotions rather than tangible rewards or gifts. The cost of offering patrons “free” spins on a slot machine is minimal to the casino and it keeps the patron engaged with the slot machines longer.

While it’s understandable that the cost is lower for the casino to run such promotions, but are they really effective? According to WorldatWork, tangible rewards, or non-cash rewards, achieved a three times return on investment.

A patron will not remember spinning through their “Free Play”, they will however remember any tangible reward for a longer period of time, having a greater potential for a favorable memory and a return visit to the casino.
