All Star Incentive Marketing – Thinking Big for its Clients

STURBRIDGE OFFICE PARK, FISKDALE, MA – All Star Incentive Marketing, Macy’s and Sharp Electronics were thinking big – really big – when it came time to develop a plan for the Macy’s Summer mattress sale.

The Macy’s national promotion, which launched late June and ran through the 4th of July  holiday weekend, invited customers to purchase a qualifying mattress set and receive their choice of either a Sharp 19” LCD/DVD combo HDTV or a Sharp 22” LCD/HDTV.

During the initial meetings leading up to the promotion, All Star, Macy’s and Sharp worked closely to develop the right plan to generate consumer excitement and even better – additional promotion advertising at no additional costs to the client.  Macy’s, a New York City staple, seemed like a perfect fit to appear on the 12’7” x 20’  Sharp/NBC Universal AQUOS video display on the southwest corner of 42nd St. and 7th Ave., in the heart of Times Square.

Through the 4th of July, the Macy’s Fourth of July, 30-second spot advertisement was viewed on the Sharp/NBC Universal AQUOS display between 9 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.  The ad ran approximately 45 times per day and was seen by close to 1.5 million visitors each day.  The more than $100,000 of added value was a win-win for both Macy’s as the client and Sharp as the manufacturer.
